What: I successfully applied for a federal grant to fuel the development of our technology plan. The opportunity was very fortuitous. It afforded me $30,000 to conduct training and meetings, hire writers, purchase materials, and publish our work.

So What: This artifact is significant to the work of developing a shared vision. To accomplish this vision, I need to continually leverage and marshal sufficient resources. Though this money was short term and earmarked for planning purposes only, not implementation, it was very welcome. Getting $30K in your checking account is a very exciting event. It validated my work and brings a lot of momentum to the project.
